Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone reportedly roped in for Bhansali's next

The pair was last seen in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamasha' that went on to achieve cult status

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's onscreen chemistry is one for the books. The duo has not been seen in film together since 2015's Tamasha, however, that is about to change.

According to Filmfare, Ranbir and Deepika have been approached by director extraordinaire Sanjay Leela Bhansali, for his next venture Baiju Bawra.

"Ranbir and Deepika make a pair to reckon with on screen and Bhansali wants to create magic with the two actors," revealed a source. "Talks are on, however neither of the two have signed on the dotted line yet," they added.

The same source went on to add that "these are all early talks, which started before the lockdown, but with the entire calendar of actors going for a toss, it would be interesting to see how things shape up."

"Though Ranbir and Deepika will make for a formidable pair in a Bhansali film," said the source, and we can't agree more!

The former couple's earlier ventures have all gone on to become hits, and include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha.
