JACOBABAD: Two residents of Nawra were injured when policemen baton-charged a rally on Saturday. The injured men were arrested along with two others after they took to the streets in protest against two policemen demanding a bribe. They had gone to the bank to cash a cheque given to them for cleaning canals when the policemen stopped them from entering the bank. The protest was held at Quaid-e-Azam Road and people chanted slogans against the police. A heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene and baton charged the protestors.
