Seven nabbed, weapons seized

Incidents of bike snatching, theft have dropped significantly

FAISALABAD: Police raided various districts and arrested seven suspects, including two ringleaders of motorcycle theft and motorcycle snatching gangs, and recovered 80 motorcycles and weapons.

The number of motorcycle thefts and snatchings has dropped significantly in the city. The suspects were identified as Abdul Aziz son of Bakhtawar, Azam, a resident of Mohalla Ashrafabad, Muhammad Bilal, a resident of Fish Farm, Shafiq, a resident of North Sargodha, Qaiser alias Qaisari.

Moreover, Shahid stole motorcycles from 12 police stations in Faisalabad including Razaabad, Sargodha Road, Gulberg, Kotwali, Jhang Bazar, Factory Area, Juranwala and Tandlianwala. Police recovered motorcycles from his possession.

The SSP investigation said the names of those robbers who steal motorcycles and sell them outside the area have been recorded.

SSP remarked that the arrested suspects were involved in snatching and stealing motorcycles and selling them. He said raids are being carried out to seize the stolen goods.At the end of the press conference, those people whose motorcycles were snatched were given the keys of the motorcycles.
