Acid burning : Compulsive gambler burns wife

MUZAFFARABAD: A man threw acid on his wife after she tried to get him to quit gambling on Saturday. According to police officials, Khanpur village Inayatpur resident Gulnar tried to get her husband to quit gambling after he lost money she had saved for her children’s education. After she kept insisting, her husband Irshad beat her and she left for her parent’s house. On Saturday morning, Irshad followed Gulnar to her parent’s house and threw acid on her. Gulnar is in critical condition and doctors say 70 percent of her body has suffered third degree burns.
