ISLAMABAD:
The apex court on Tuesday ordered to regularise the services of Radiology Assistant Professor Dr Mujahid Raza along with the directions to let him resume his duty at the largest tertiary care hospital in Islamabad, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).

The two-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial presided over the case filed by Dr Mujahid in which he had challenged the decision regarding ousting of his name from the seniority list of doctors at Pims.

At the onset of hearing, Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin directed the related authorities to pay the last two-year salaries to the petitioner, Dr Mujahid.

The bench remarked that the applicant was left on the mercy of nature for the past couple of years.

After the conclusion of arguments from both sides, the court announced its verdict stating that the appointment of Dr Mujahid was completely legal.
