Three wanted criminals held

Criminals were wanted in kidnapping and other cases

ISLAMABAD: The Sihala and Shehzad town police stations in the federal capital on Wednesday arrested three people wanted for their alleged involvement in kidnapping and other criminal cases.

A police spokesperson said that Rural SP Malik Naeem Iqbal tasked the SHOs of his zone to apprehend proclaimed offenders and other wanted criminals in their jurisdiction.

Subsequently, special teams were constituted. One team, headed by Sihala police station SHO Malik Bashir - with ASI Ashfaq Ahmed - nabbed Qadeer Shah and Aaqib Shah for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping for ransom case.

Similarly, a police team from Shehzad town police station, headed by its SHO Inspector Hakim Khan - with Hamad Shah - nabbed a proclaimed offender Ejaz.

Police have obtained their physical remand from the concerned court while further investigations are underway.
