ISLAMABAD: Renowned jurist and a former judge of the Supreme Court Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim on Thursday said that any confrontation between the government and judiciary was not in the interest of the country. Speaking on a private news channel programme, he asserted that it was obligatory for the government to implement the orders of the Supreme Court but the judiciary should also exhibit the spirit of moderation to avoid any conflicts which could disrupt the country’s political make-up. He declared that mid-term elections were always there to resolve gripping problems that the present government was not able to address.
