Verdict: Murderer given death penalty

Additional district and sessions Judge Mohammad Asghar Khan awarded the death sentence to the man found guilty of committing a murder in Panjain village. Asif Mehmood was also fined Rs200,000, which will be given to legal heirs of the deceased. In case of default, he will have to undergo six months more imprisonment.


According to the prosecution, Asif Mehmood and his brother Zahid Mehmood, along with NazarHussain and his son Fakhar Nazar, murdered Allah Dad on October 13, 2010 with axes and pistols over a land dispute.
