Ramazan: Bank timings announced

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced business and office hours for banks during the month of Ramazan. According to a press release issued by SBP on Friday, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), microfinance banks (MFBs) and field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC) will observe business hours from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm (without break) from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. Their Friday business timings will be from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon (without break). However, these institutions will have office hours from 8:30 am to 1:45 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday during the month. Their Friday office timings will be from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Ali | 12 years ago | Reply Yeah Mr. Bunty. You are expressing very nice thought. I think there is no need to change bank timings in Ramdan. Cause they sit in extra cool environment and they don"t do so much physical and mental work that they will face any difficulty while fasting.
bunty | 12 years ago | Reply what a load of useless things!! whats the point of fasting when u are have smaller working hours?? might as well sleep unto iftari. how are we relate with people who go hungry when we are not simulating a normal day we spent other than ramadan
