The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) had announced various posts of combined competitive examination in February 2018 and conducted screening test in July 2018 to shortlist candidates for written part of the examination, which were held in November 2018.
The SPSC announced result of the written examination in July 2019 and started conducting interviews from August 2019 and announced the final result in October 2019. One hundred and ninety-three officers are ready to serve the province but the joining letters are pending without any reason.

This is the first batch of the PMS officers. Officials say that DMG officers serving in Sindh fear that the PMS officers will affect their share in the postings.
The result of competitive process was announced on Oct 25, 2019. Later on, in January 2020, 193 successful candidates received offer letters from the Sindh government but they had been unable to join the offices so far, officials said.
