Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser directed to make special arrangements for holding meetings of NA committees via video-conferencing.

The decision is said to make the non-legislative business of assembly functional and would facilitate the Standing Committees, Public Accounts Committee, Parliamentary and Special Committees to conduct meetings through video-link.

The Information Technology Wing of the National Assembly Secretariat has been mandated to provide video-conferencing facilities in committee rooms of the Parliament house.

The virus has claimed 71 lives while at least 760 coronavirus patients have recovered.

The number of cases has continued to soar despite the country being under lockdown for the third consecutive week.

The situation remains fluid and we’re updating stats as soon as new figures are officially released.
