FAISALABAD: Police have registered a case against a man who sexually assaulted a girl after luring her through a promise of marriage, made an obscene video of her along with two other perpetrators and then blackmailed her to get Rs400,000.

Millat Town police have started an investigation in the case filed by the victim.

She stated that the accused, Faisal Ashraf, a resident of Sargodha, befriended her on Facebook. He told her that he ran his own business in Dubai. After becoming friends on Facebook, a few months ago, Ashraf said he wanted to meet her so she invited him to a park.

After the meeting, Ashraf along with his two unidentified accomplices took her to a house in a car where he sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, while his accomplices recorded video of the assault, she said in the complaint. They repeatedly assaulted her by blackmailing her through the video and also forced her to transfer Rs400,000 to their account through a bank.
