SIALKOT: Markazi Anjuman Tajran president Mehar Ghulam Mujtaba said that traders in the district were unable to pay their electricity bills as a protest against unending and unscheduled load shedding in the district. Mujtaba condemned the increase in power cuts and said that small industries in the district were suffering severe losses due to the relentless power cuts. “Hundreds of the daily wage workers are being laid off from their jobs because factories are either closing down or suspending operations,” Mujtaba said. Protesters in the district have demanded a regular schedule for power cuts so that they can avoid losing business.
