QUETTA: Chief Executive of Balochistan Investment Board Farman Zarkoon on Friday welcomed the State Bank of Pakistan’s lending scheme for imports of medical equipment at a 3% rate, urging the private sector and hospital owners of Balochistan to benefit from this scheme.

“The coronavirus has become a global outbreak. In this time of trouble, the government of Balochistan and Pakistan are trying their best at every level. Though, we will all have to pay our share in this regard, the State Bank of Pakistan has granted special relaxation for the imports of medical equipment, to counter the outbreak.”

Zarkoon added that the interest rate on loans on the importation of medical equipment from abroad is low, which is why private hospital owners are urged to import medical equipment while benefiting from this scheme.
