QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Zia Langove on Wednesday directed Balochistan Levies director general to immediately quarantine personnel who have been doing sensitive duties at quarantine centres in Quetta, Taftan and Qilla Saifullah and get their tests for coronavirus done.

Langove was visiting office of the Balochistan Levies DG Mujibur Rehman Qambran along with Coordinator to the Chief Minister Mir Abdul Rauf Rind.

The DG informed the minister that the force has played an important role in ferrying pilgrims from Taftan border to their hometowns and ensured strict security.

He assured Langove that all personnel on sensitive duties will be quarantined and tested so that other personnel in the province could be protected from this dangerous virus.

Speaking on the occasion, Rind said stern action will be taken against people who are illegally entering the country through human trafficking and endangering human lives. The minister commended the role of Levies in the current situation and said it is important to take precautionary measures. “It is important to take steps so that no negligence and mismanagement could harm the public,” he added.
