Crime: Woman beaten to death

RAWALPINDI: A woman was beaten to death by unidentified persons in the Sadiqabad area on Monday. The deceased, Shabana Noreen, was alone at home as her brother, Mohammad Liaqat, and his wife were at work in Islamabad. When they returned home in the evening, they found her lying in a pool of blood and her head smashed with bricks. The police said the woman had been married to Iftikhar, but the couple separated just three months after the wedding. However, a motive behind the murder was being investigated by the police.
