The suspects had booked an online cab in Gulistan-e-Johar on February 17 and hijacked the vehicle at gunpoint. They then forced the driver to withdraw money from an ATM and later fled with the money, the vehicle and the driver’s mobile phone. They also carried out a similar operation with another online cab driver on February 29.
The AVLC recovered two pistols, three mobile phones and three stolen vehicles from their possession.
