FAISALABAD: A young man strangled his wife to death on Monday. According to police officials, Ahata Khai resident Jabbar Ali was suspicious that his wife Zahida was having an affair with her neighbour and killed her. Ali, later, threw Zahida’s body into a canal to conceal the evidence. The in-laws of the deceased reported the incident to the local police and police officials are searching for the accused. Zahida’s mother Asma Bibi said that Jabbar wanted to contract a second marriage and killed her daughter when she refused to give him permission.
