Sohail wins first Swat Snow Marathon Race

As many as 115 athletes from across the country participated in the event

SWAT: Sohail Amir bagged the first position in the 21km category of the first Swat Snow Marathon Race 2020, which was held at the Magic Mountain of the valley of Swat on Saturday.

Abrar Hussain stood second while Fida Mohammad secured the third position.

As many as 115 athletes from across the country marked their attendances. The athletes participated in 5, 10 and 21 km categories.

Mohibullah stood first in 10km, while Alam Zaib and Farzand Ali secured the second and third positions respectively.

Muhammad Rahim grabbed the first position in 5km while Ahsan Khursheed stood second and Jawwad secured the third spot.

Foreign players including women from KP, Punjab and Islamabad also attended the marathon.

Cash awards, medals and certificates were distributed among the position holders at the end of the race.

The event was held in collaboration with Tourism Corporation KP and Magic Mountain Adventure Park Swat.

The account officer of Tourism Corporation KP, Muhammad Ilyas, Assistant Marketing Syed Waqas Ali Shah, Aniq Majid, Marketing Manager Siemens Group Samar Sabeen, General Manager Siemens Group Waris Shah, Magic Mountain Adventure Park dignitaries and other eminent figures were present on the occasion.

KP Tourism Corporation held various events for the promotion of sports and tourism during the winter season. Malam Jabba skiing, International Snow Boarding Malam Jabba, first Swat Snow Marathon Race, Guliyat Snow sports festival, Hindukush snow sports festival were the major events.
