Talking to media persons in Lahore, the senior lawyer said that the PML-N, especially the Sharif family, had changed their earlier position and distanced themselves from any sort of political retaliation.
“All the PML-N guns that used to fire broadsides are now silent,” he said. “The PML-N and the Sharif family cannot do politics of retaliation. The PML-N will do what they are told,” he added.
This was the second time in a week that a PPP leader openly criticised the PML-N.
Earlier, party Chairman Bilawal Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif was also a selected PM. He criticised PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, saying that when the people of Punjab needed him, he went to Karachi.
The PML-N had not responded to Bilawal’s remarks. This time too, the party seems to be abstaining from reacting to Aitzaz’s comments.
PML-N leader Javaid Latif, when asked to comment on Ahsan’s remarks, said that Ahsan’s statements were not even owned by his own party, therefore, his words have no value. Other PML-N leaders also refused to react to Ahsan’s remarks.
