The 1,500 member general council has been constituted through nominations. N League has been defunct from its working form since 2009 however the party has not held fresh elections for the office bearers. Each and every office bearer of the party at present has been awarded the place through nomination and not election as it was in 2006 and before. These new members of the general councils are appointed on a bias. The best men have not come forward by winning their places within the party. These aren't democratic elections. These have been manipulated to quell anyone who dares speak up to Mian Sahab. Removal and sidelining of Raja Zafar ul Haq, alienation of veteran member Saranjam Khan who's been a part of the League for 50 years & sidelining of Javed Hashmi are a few key examples of this. All these men have been stripped off their posts of high party positions and are now being forced to work and do under the direct orders of Mian Sahab. The party has no democracy. It's all just a facade to make it look as if the inner dictator is not present within them.

The one whos is the 'most shareef' is already at top. Did he remember when was the last time his party elected him as a leader - dynastic politics.

in the very next news here on this website:

"Sources in the party said that Nawaz Sharif, at a recent meeting here in the city, had told PML-N leaders that it was time for Hamza to take on a bigger role as he was the party’s future. Nawaz recently made his son-in-law Cap (r) Safdar chief organiser of the party’s youth wing."
