It appears that the Star Wars franchise is about to feel the presence of a WWE superstar. According to a report published on Cinema Blend, Disney's much loved TV show The Mandalorian has cast a WWE superstar for season 2.

The superstar in question is four time WWE RAW women's champion Sasha Banks. The information was first revealed by Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast in a tweet.

"Here is another interesting tidbit we were told by the same person but I can not 100% confirm it. Sasha Banks will be in season 2 of The Mandalorian", the tweet read.

In a subsequent tweet, the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast revealed that Banks has already finished filming her scenes. Previously The Mandalorian had featured former MMA fighter in Gina Carano.

If the reports are true, there is a possibility that Banks might make a full time transition to Hollywood like fellow WWE Superstars, John Cena, Dave Bautista and Dwayne Johnson.

John Cena who is starring in the upcoming film F9: The Fast Saga has been working in a part-time capacity for WWE since 2015 much like Dwayne Johnson. Meanwhile Bautista officially announced his retirement from pro-wrestling and is set to be included in this year's WWE Hall of Fame.

Banks has had a love and hate relationship with the wrestling business. Earlier on, certain dirt sheets had reported that she was not happy with how her character was dealt with. Additionally there was an instance where Banks expressed her dissatisfaction with her rating in WWE 2k20 video game.

More recently there have been reports that the WWE locker room is not happy with a promo of hers. During a story line promo she said things like “every story has a final chapter’, with tears in her eyes  .

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this was taken in bad taste by some who felt that it was a mockery of actual retirement speeches of WWE superstars Daniel Bryan and Edge.
