LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has extended the scope of e-challan and now owners of vehicles registered in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) will also receive traffic violation tickets at their given addresses.

PSCA Chief Operating Officer Akbar Nasir Khan said that the PSCA had obtained data of vehicles registered with the K-P excise department.

The vehicles registered in K-P will be under PSCA’s radar like those from Punjab and Islamabad, he added. “Traffic law violators will be challaned under the motor vehicle ordinance and rules.” The citizens can pay the fines in any branch of the Bank of Punjab or Nation Bank of Pakistan. A PSCA spokesperson said that letters had been sent to provincial governments for obtaining excise data to bring vehicles from other provinces operating in Lahore into the e-challan system against violation of traffic rules.
