Balochistan Chief Secretary Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar and senior provincial secretaries Ghulam Ali Baloch, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Shehryar Afridi, Noorul Haq Baloch and Aziz Jamali were present in the meeting.
The committee informed the chief minister on action taken to implement decisions made in previous meetings.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister Jam Kamal had constituted the provincial reforms committee for the development of provincial sectors, including education and health.
The committee agreed to hold the next meeting under the supervision of the Chief Secretary which would finalize the implementation of the committee’s recommendations.
Lauding the committee’s recommendations, CM Jam Kamal said on the occasion that political leadership and bureaucracy could promote the development agenda by building a strong liaison.
“The bureaucracy can boost Balochistan’s development by emphasizing the importance of time in development schemes”, Jam Kamal said.
“Masses can’t be deceived by number games because every single person is well-informed in today’s era of social media”, Jam Kamal added.
The meeting also reviewed reforms suggested in the previous meeting regarding education, health, the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI), nutrition, food and other sectors.
The CM said proper utilisation of time was the biggest challenge for the current government and stressed that the timely implementation of decisions made in meetings remained his government’s key objective.
“The next ten years are crucial for Balochistan because today’s younger generation will have the opportunity to contribute towards the province’s development over that period”.
Kamal also directed authorities to induct senior officers into the reforms committee.
