107-year-old man dies 13 hours after wife's passing

The couple was married for over 65 years

A 107-year-old grieving husband died some 13 hours after the death of his 90-year-old wife in the UAE, Khaleej Times reported.

The man identified as Ghazi Ali was staying with his wife in the Wadi Ghalilah area in Ras Al Khaimah.

The couple had been happily married for 65 years, relatives of the couple said, "Both of them, though old and unwell, were looking after each other in love."

The grandson Mohamad Al Shehi said his grandfather was suffering from geriatric diseases, but after the death of his wife, he could not handle the pain and passed away the same day around 4am.

The manager of a funeral services Abed Al Marzouqi said the couple was buried in the same grave at Kheb Cemetery located in the north of Ras Al Khaimah.
