The largest real estate portal of Pakistan, Zameen.com recently organised a two-day Zameen Expo 2020 in Karachi which concluded on the 2nd of February. The magnanimous event featured more than 140 builders as well as developers from across the country, and successfully attracted more than 90,000 visitors.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi along with CEO Zameen.com, Zeeshan Ali Khan, formally inaugurated the Expo, and expressed his views on the importance of real estate sector for the economy of Pakistan. “Since it is a leading indicator, growth in real estate stimulates the entire economy,” he said, and congratulated Zameen.com for its efforts to streamline the sector.
Zameen.com’s CEO Zeeshan Ali Khan while appreciating the heavy footfall on both days of the Expo stated, “Increased public interest bodes well not just for the real estate industry but also has a positive effect on the wider economy. We have started this year with the Karachi Expo, which should benefit the real estate industry as a whole.”
The second day efficaciously kicked off with prominent personalities of the real estate industry, such as Mohsin Sheikhani, Chairman, Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), who graced the Expo as a special guest. According to him, “The real estate sector is moving towards stability and events like Zameen Expo 2020 Karachi play a central role in reviving investor confidence, which is the most important requirement of the industry at this time.”
Zameen.com has hosted 19 such expos in cities across Pakistan as well as in Dubai since 2014. This one of its kind event featured approximately 1,608 exhibitors and attracted more than one million visitors.
