ISLAMABAD: “We are planning to build 10 grounds in Rawalpindi to give youngsters places to play,” said MNA Hanif Abbasi on Thursday, while announcing plans to inaugurate Rawalpindi’s first hockey stadium at Muslim School Ground, Saidpur Road, on August 14 this year. Speaking at a reception to honour for Rawalpindi Rams, who won the recently concluded Faysal Bank Twenty-20 tournament, at Cultural Complex, Abbasi also awarded the players and coaches with Rs25,000 cash prizes for each member, plus shields and watches. Rawalpindi Rams Captain Sohail Tanvir said the new grounds will help players who play cricket on streets and roads.
