FAISALABAD: A woman was killed, while her husband suffered critical injuries when a speeding car hit their motorcycle in Peoples Colony in the wee hours of Thursday.
Rescue officials said that Fazal, 28, along with his wife Sana Bibi, was riding a motorcycle when the car hit it on Abdullahpur Bridge.
Sana died on the spot while her husband was shifted to the district headquarters hospital in critical condition. However, the driver of the car managed to escape. Police registered a case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, traffic police sent six drivers behind the bars on the charge of rash driving during the past 24 hours.
