Authorities increase flour sale points

Flour bags being distributed among the general public on government rates

FAISALABAD: The district administration has increased the number of wheat flour sale points from 14 to 27. A spokesman said on Monday that 22 sale points were established in city, whereas the remaining points are in rural areas. He said 10 kilogrammes of flour bags were available at these sale points for Rs400, whereas, price of 20kgs flour bag was Rs800. While, District Food Controller Ali Imran said there was no shortage of wheat flour as the food department had ample stock of flour bags. He highlighted that flour bags were being distributed among the general public on government rates.
