HYDERABAD: In his maiden political rally in Larkana on Friday, Pak Sarzameen Party's chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal has expressed the vow that he and his supporters will destroy the political elements dividing different sub-nationalities in Pakistan for political gains.

"I want to ask those using the Mohajir card and the Sindh card to seek forgiveness from the Almighty because you have been trying to divide the humans," he said.

A large number of people gathered to hear Kamal speak in his party's first powershow in Larkana's Jinnah Bagh square.

Referring to Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Pakistan Peoples Party, he said both the sides knew very well that Sindh could not be divided on ethnic basis.

"Yet they go to the people and frighten them so that they can get [the electoral] support."

He argued that Sindhi politicians have for decades played the 'Sindh card' to hide their corruption, failure and bad performance in the government, instilling fear of the province's division as the rallying cry.

"The rulers have been telling lie to innocent Sindhis."

He claimed that Mohajirs living in Karachi do not want to carve out a separate province in Sindh but the political parties raise the slogans in their name for the sake of their power politics.

Kamal said he and his supporters will tell their posterity that Sindhis are like Ansar-e-Madina who embraced the migrants from India after the partition. "We will keep telling our generations to come till the judgment day that Sindhis are our Ansars and no one can lower their stature."

The PSP's chairman based his argument on religion to assert that the Sindhi and Mohajir identities are worldly. "In the life hereafter these ethnic identities won't be worthy. Only our good deeds will be considered for the reward or punishment."

He blamed Sindh's rulers for making fake promises with the people and for always failing to deliver while in the power. "Like the Pharaoh of Karachi [a reference to MQM's founding leader Altaf Hussain] has been destroyed the Pharaohs of other cities and towns in Pakistan will also meet the same fate."

Kamal asked the PTI government to stop giving references of Riasat-e-Madina. "The whole system of government is based on lies," he alleged.

Criticising prime minister Imran Khan's justification for taking u-turns in politics, Kamal said such political machinations amount to hypocrisy.

He said his party will never float the slogans like roti, kapra aur makan; vote ko izzat do; tabdeeli; Sindh card or Mohajir card. "We believe in in bringing the governance to the local level, to the streets and to the doorsteps."

He sought electoral support from the people and promised that if elected his party's governance will be according to their expectations. The PSP's Anis Qaimkhani, Shabbir Qaimkhani, Ashfaq Mangi and other leaders also spoke.
