Bani Police arrested two suspects recovering 21 forged driving licences

RAWALPINDI: Police on Thursday arrested two suspects who are allegedly involved in issuing and selling fake driving licences to the public, a police spokesperson said on Thursday.

During snap checking, the Bani Police arrested two suspects, identified as Tariq Shah and Abdul Ghafoor Shah, while recovering 21 forged driving licences. Of these, eight were of Punjab police and 13 were of Islamabad police.

During initial questioning, it was discovered that the two suspects are a part of a gang which is involved in this illegal business.

In a separate incident, a local police officer raided an illegal gas re-filling point in Rawalpindi on Thursday and seized refilling instruments from the suspects. Kahuta Police conducted a raid and arrested three suspects, identified as Jibran Khalid, Tayyab Afzal and Adil Ali for illegally filling gas.
