Chakki owners to sell flour on govt rates

LAHORE: The Atta Chakki Owners Association has agreed to sell flour for Rs45 per kilogramme after the district administration started a crackdown against them in the provincial capital.

Earlier, the Chakki owners had refused to sell flour on government rates. The citizens had to face difficulties due to unavailability of flour.

Atta Chakki Owners Association General Secretary Abdur Rahman had announced shutting down the wheat grinding units for an indefinite period. He said the Chakki owners were being harassed despite talks with the district administration, a crackdown was launched against them.
