KARACHI: Justice Tufail H Ebrahim of the Sindh High Court (SHC) resigned for “personal reasons” on Wednesday. The SHC registrar confirmed the resignation and said that chief justice has forwarded it to the federal ministry of law for further action. Ebrahim’s tenure as an adhoc judge was reportedly expiring some time in September and he was to be issued an appointment as a “confirmed judge”. Ebrahim is from a family of legal background; his father is a former Sindh governor and SHC judge. Ebrahim has law firm to look after and has supposedly resigned because the firm was suffering because of his obligations at the SHC.
