NAB given extension in Durrani case

Durrani's co-accused Gulzar requested the court to remove his name from ECL

KARACHI: An accountability court granted on Wednesday an extension to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials for submitting details in an assets beyond means case against Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani.

Karachi's accountability court was hearing the reference, while Durrani and others accused appeared before the bench.

NAB officials submitted a report regarding the property owned by accused who are on the run. The NAB special prosecutor said that responses from the deputy commissioner, the Revenue Board, the Defence Housing Authority and Malir Development Authority had been sought. He requested the court to grant an extension for the submission of further details. Meanwhile, Durrani's co-accused Gulzar sought permission to travel outside the country for business, asking the judges to remove his name from the Exit Control List.
