KARACHI: The employees of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) filed another petition at the Sindh High Court (SHC).  “We filed this petition because the daily functions of the hospital and those working and training here were being affected,” said a JPMC staff member who did not want to be named. Sources said that the court ruled in favour of the plaintiff. “Through this petition, the transfers, victimisation and actions which are detrimental to staffers’ service and impact the training of young doctors will be avoided,” the official explained. This is the second petition filed by employees of JPMC, the earlier petition was in reference to the devolution of the institution. The hearing is scheduled for August in front of a larger bench.
