RAWALPINDI: Police on Saturday managed to recover within 24 hours cash worth more than Rs2.5 million snatched from a trader in Ganjmandi.

Rawalpindi CPO Ahsan Younus gave back the money to the trader at the same place from where it was snatched. Representatives of traders and community leaders were present to laud the quick service of the Rawalpindi police.

CPO Younus said the two suspects were traced with the help of advanced technology. The suspects were themselves traders working in the wholesale shoe market.

He said the suspects had confessed to their crime. Regarding where did they got the weapons to commit crime, the police chief surprised the gathering by revealing that the man selling tea was also a gunrunner.
