Orange Train fare fixed at Rs40

Punjab CM rejected the proposal to increase the fare of the Lahore Metro Bus

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday approved the Orange Train fare at Rs40 but rejected the proposal to increase the fare of the Lahore Metro Bus.

The chief minister presided over a meeting of the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) in Lahore, wherein the Lahore Metro Train projects and issues were discussed alongside matters related to the Metro Bus Service.

A recommendation to fix the orange train fare of Rs50 was discussed in the meeting. The CM rejected the proposal and approved the principle fare of Rs40 for the service.

He also said that the Lahore Metro Bus fare would remain Rs30 and no increase in the fare has been approved for the bus service. It is noteworthy that the fare of the Lahore Metro Bus was fixed at Rs20 in the tenure of Shahbaz Shareef.
