LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that Punjab would prepare its 10 year Dengue Strategy after review and discussion with the local and international experts. She expressed these views at the International Dengue Conference 2020 at a local hotel on Thursday.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was the chief guest and pledged complete support for the control of dengue in Punjab. He welcomed the foreign experts and assured efforts from the Punjab government.

The conference was organised with the presence of leading global experts to develop an action plan to control dengue, in the wake of a global epidemic that has hit countries from far East Asia to South Asia.

The health minister maintained that Punjab has hired over 6000 dengue workers and the department has been strenuously working on cities that have been hit hard by the epidemic.
