MULTAN: A man was shot and injured at Hassanabad Gate No-2 Khanewal Road on Thursday. According to Rescue 1122 official, Ishaq Ashfaq, 25, had an old enmity with his friends. On the day of incident, the rival party exchanged harsh words and opened fire at him.

The injured was taken to a nearby hospital. In a separate incident, Multan police arrested a suspect and recovered drugs during a door-to-door search operation launched in various areas.

According to the police, accompanying law enforcement agencies officials, the police team cordoned off the entire area and blocked the traffic on the road passing through the areas of Bawa Safra and Latifabad respectively on the premises of Lohari Gate and Qutabpur police stations. Police combed the area and targeted dozens of homes and made biometric identification of 54 people.

The team arrested a suspect and recovered drugs from his possession.
