FAISALABAD: Sanitation work in over 21 union councils of the urban areas of Faisalabad city has been severely affected due to lack of required staff. Union council residents have complained that sewage and waste have collected in several locations and are causing problems for residents as well as spreading disease. Locals said that the district administration had recently promoted four sanitary inspectors but 21 unions councils were still being overlooked because there were no sanitary inspectors and other staff. Residents have demanded that district authorities hire the workers so the situation can be addressed effectively.
