CDA resumes work in Sector 1-14

Earlier the work was halted due to resistance of miscreants

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday restarted work on a street after its employees were forced to abandon the operation when locals started pelting stones on them.

The staff of the Enforcement Directorate with the assistance of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), police and formation concerned restarted earth work on a street of Sector I-14/ 2. Earlier the work was halted due to resistance of miscreants, said a statement issued by CDA. Now the earth work of the street has been completed in the presence of officials concerned.

Similarly, CDA said, possession of two plots in sector I-14/2, have also been handed over to owners on the spot so that they could build their houses on their land.

Enforcement Directorate staff with the assistance of ICTA and police demarcated 2,000-meter long area along the GT Road from Peshawar Mor to Tarnol Phataak.
