NüRBURGRING: Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli will be giving teams a new version of its soft tyre in Friday’s practice session of the German Grand Prix. While the Pirelli compounds have proved popular with spectators, its bosses are conscious about the tyres’ durability. “It’s not a big change from the current specification, but it’s designed to fit in line with our latest versions of the P Zero Silver,” said Pirelli boss Paul Hembery.
