Light rain expected in Karachi

MET office predicts that the weather will remain cold, dry today

KARACHI: With a new system entering Sindh tomorrow (Sunday), Karachi is likely to experience light rain in the coming week. The intensity of cold weather in the metropolis decreased on Friday.

The MET office predicted that the weather will remain cold and dry today (Saturday) with fog blanketing the city in the morning.

According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, a new western system of rainfall will enter Balochistan through Iran tomorrow. The metropolis may witness light rain on January 6 and 7 under the effect of this system while another such system is expected to hit Karachi on January 11. The system entering from Balochistan tomorrow is likely to cause heavy rainfall in some districts of upper Sindh.
