29 railways ministry officers to retire this year

They include two general managers, four officers of grade 21 and two officers of grade 20

LAHORE: The Ministry of Railways’ 29 officers of grade 17 and grade 21 will retire in 2020. They include two general managers, four officers of grade 21, two officers of grade 20, four officers of grade 19, four officers of grade 18 and 13 officers of grade 17.

According to a notification, Mechanical Engineering Department Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Ijaz will retire on January 3, Maintenance and Services General Manager Mohammad Tahir on January 19 and Railway Walton Academy Director Civil Engineering Department will step aside in April.

The federal government officer Dost Ali Leghari will retire on September 5 while Department of Traffic and Commercial Additional General Manager Railways Zubair Shafi Ghauri will retire on September 4.

The Mechanical Department’s two officers, who work in grade 20, will also retire this year. They include Procurement Director Ijaz Ahmed Sheikh and Coaches Project Director Mehfooz Ali Khan.

Medical Department Eye Specialist Dr Sohail Butt will retire on August 23 and Medical Superintendent Mughalpura Workshop Atlas Khan on December 31. Deputy Chief Controller of Store of Purchase Department Nadeem Mirza will step aside on September 18 and Civil Engineering Department Deputy Project Director Javed Akhtar will retire on May 31.

Similarly, Ministry of Railways Islamabad Sher Aslam will retire on January 4 while Civil Engineering Department Deputy Project Director Ibrahim Rajchar will step aside on February 21. Medical Department Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Kamal Mahmood will retire on October 1.

Thirteen officers of grade 17, including Civil Engineering Department Karachi Divisional Engineer Sanaullah Khan, will step aside on February 14. Assistant Planning Engineer Mohammad Abbas will retire on February 29 while Assistant Engineer (Bridges) Shahzada Shah Nazwaz will step aside on March 14.

Assistant Engineer (Design) Head Quarter Athar Mehmood Khan will retire on April 20 and Assistant Engineer (South) Haq Nawaz will retire from his positions on September 11.

General Admin Department Assistant Personnel Officer Fayyaz Khan will retire on March 29 while  Assistant Personnel Officer Headquarters Mohammad Saeed will step aside on April 3. Assistant Engineer Lahore Division Tanveer Ali Shah will retire on November 23 and Traffic and Commercial Department Assistant Commercial Manager Zaheeruddin will step aside on May 24.

Mechanical Engineering Department’s Mughalpura Workshop Assistant Works Manager Ghulam Mehmood will retire on November 30 and Junior Mechanical Engineer Headquarter Mohammad Taj will step aside on December 27. Railways Police Lahore Division SSP Mehar Muhammad Iqbal will be retiring on March 5.

Ghulam Mehmood, Assistant Works Manager Mughalpura Workshop of Mechanical Engineering Department, will retire  on November 30 and Junior Mechanical Engineer Headquarter Mohammad Taj will retire from his post on December 27; and SSP Railways Police Lahore Division Mehar Muhammad Iqbal will be retiring on March 5.
