DIG listens to the complaints of the citizens, orders immediate redressal

DIG holds open court session

LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Rai Babar Saeed held an open court of Shahdara Circle, at Shahdara police station on Monday. SP City Division Raza Safdar Kazmi, SDPO Shahdara Circle Muhammad Iftikhar Ahmad, SHOs and a large number of citizens were present in the open court.

The DIG listened to the complaints of the citizens who raised various issues to which the DIG directed the police officers concerned, on the spot, for immediate redressal of their grievances.

The DIG said that the sole responsibility of the police force is to provide lawful support to the citizens facing any difficulties.

“Every police officer and official should serve the citizens with the spirit to render the best possible services and ensure the safety of life and property of the public.” The DIG added that the genuine problems of the citizens must be solved at the police stations on a priority basis.

“The doors of my office were open round-the-clock to every complainant for the provision of justice.”  Dutiful officers are the pride of the department, he maintained.
