MUZAFFARABAD: Khawar Saeed assumed charge as new president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (BAJK) on Friday.

After receiving warm welcome from acting CEO Syed Aftab Hussain Gillani and all the division heads, Saeed visited various departments at the head office.

He has Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Diploma Associate Institute of Bankers Pakistan (DAIBP) degrees with distinction in Book Keeping and Accounts.

The BAJK new CEO also holds professional designation in International Business Management, award in General Business Studies-Credit Management, certificate in International Business and Trade from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA (UCLA).

With certificate in Credit Management from the National Institute of Credit, USA, he also attended a number of banking courses, seminars, and workshops across the world.

He maintains an excellent portfolio with numerous accomplishments, awards, and accolades that accumulated over the years due to consistent outstanding performance.

It is expected that the new incumbent president of BAJK, by utilising his academic and professional experience, will take the bank to the new heights and achieve the goals of excellence.

Moreover, Saeed possesses strong leadership and management skills with proven abilities. During 33 years of glorious innings in banking, he had played leading role at head office/operating offices and been able to transform the business profile of the institution by implementing strategies, team spirit, and unique result-oriented practices.

He has pledged to make BAJK one of the best performing banks of Azad Jammu and Kashmir with playing his active role in the socio-economic development of the region.
