5 fashion looks that stood out on Pakistan's red carpets this year

Here is a list of our favourite red carpet looks of 2019!

Entertainment Desk December 27, 2019

It's been a year of extreme fashion moments - more lows than highs - with celebs strutting onto the red carpet in some stunning and some questionable looks.

When Iqra Aziz stepped out in a mint green Nomi Ansari ensemble at a particular award show, we were just as gobsmacked as anybody else - and not in the best way.

To compensate for Iqra's fashion blunder, there were a handful of other looks on the red carpets of 2019 that turned heads for the right reasons. Here is an indefinite list of our favourite looks across all major industry events.

1) Saba Qamar

Saba looked every bit the elegant diva that she is in this understated glam look. The figure hugging ivory ensemble worked in every way on a red carpet that otherwise had the tendency to be either too extreme or too off-the-mark. This Grecian look was easily one of the best looks of 2019.

2) Mahira Khan

Trust Mahira Khan to pull off an elaborate gold number with panache. The starlet chose a gorgeous Maison Yeya dress for an award show and safe to say, stunned many on the red carpet. The luxe look of the dress lent her a vibe fit for a gold deity, making an unforgettable statement.

3) Ayesha Omar

Even Ayesha Omar who is always the one to make statements on and off the red carpet had some blunders this year. However, this gorgeous version of a tradition saree by Elan was the perfect fusion outfit for an international red carpet.

4) Sarah Khan

Sarah Khan's traditional look in a cream Nilofer Shahid number turned heads for all the right reasons. While an eastern ensemble can be hard to pull off, this ravishing floor-length gown with zardozi work and gold tassels was a classic look.

5) Anam Malik

Anam Malik stepped on to the red-carpet and meant business. Clad in a purple frilled Élan creation, the model had it all going for her, from the styling to the big dramatic gown. On trend with the frills, Anam oozed elegance and tied the look together with understated jewellery and makeup, letting her natural beauty shine.
