Petition filed for contempt of court

KARACHI: A contempt of court plea was filed on Tuesday in Supreme Court Karachi Registry, against the government officials for deploying officials in different departments against the judicial orders. The petition has been filed by Mehmood Akhter Naqvi, where he has maintained that the deputation of officials on major posts is contempt of court, adding that the Supreme Court of Pakistan was disrespected through deliberate violation of judicial orders. Sindh government, Sindh Revenue Board’s senior member Qazi Shahid Parvez, Works and Services Department Secretary Imran Ata Soomro, Agriculture and Supply Price Secretary Agha Zaheeruddin Khan and others have been nominated as parties in the case.
