The directions for imposing Section 114 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) was issued following a request by the senior superintendent police Peshawar.

The notification also noted that anyone found violating the law would be proceeded against under section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), adding that the order will be enforced for 30 days unless modified or withdrawn.

Earlier, the Sindh government imposed a ban on pillion riding, rallies and carrying or displaying arms across the province.

The ban was imposed for 10 days after the Supreme Court announced the verdict of Aasia Bibi and ordered necessary security arrangements to be made to avoid disturbance.
