Early completion of economic zones top priority: CM K-P

Says the completion of developmental schemes will be made possible in all the districts of the province

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that the provincial government has taken pragmatic measures for completion of all the industrial zones with a rapid pace.

CM Mahmood said that the present provincial government would introduce positive reforms in the institutions to ensure better service delivery to public.

The chief minister expressed these views in a meeting with K-P Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani on Saturday at the CM House.

He furthered that the government has been providing loans to the youth of newly merged tribal districts so as to support the tribal people in starting their own businesses to enable them to earn a better livelihood.

The chief minister said that the rapid development of Rashkai Special Economic Zone along with other economic zones in the province was the priority of the government for which all the stakeholders must play their active role.

He said that the government was utilising all possible resources to make all the economic zones functional as soon as possible. Early completion of roads and other infrastructure in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone and Hattar Economic Zone will enhance economic and industrial activities in the province.

CM Mahmood added that the government has made serious efforts to promote tourism as an industry in the province to generate revenue and also provide employment opportunities to people.

Promotion of industry and commerce in the province, completion of all the small and large industrial zones with a rapid pace is the priority of the government, which will not only stabilize the economy but will also provide better employment opportunities to the people.

The chief minister said that the present provincial government is also introducing positive reforms in the institutions so as to ensure better service delivery to the public. The PTI government is not only trying to improve the economy but is also focused on welfare of the people.

He said that the early completion of roads and other infrastructure in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone and Hattar Economic Zone will further enhance economic and industrial activities in the province. Mahmood furthered that the secret of development of any province lies in the stability of economy, for this purpose the government is committed to promote tourism as an industry in the province. He said that considerable potentials of tourism are present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for which the government is taking priority measures to promote tourism as an industry in the province which will not only increase revenue but will also provide employment opportunities to the people.

He said that the completion of developmental schemes will be made possible in all the districts of the province. The Chief Minister while talking about education in the province said that the present provincial government is making full efforts to integrate the modern educational system in the province.
